Balance

The correct combination of pressure, edging, and rotary skills lead to balance. It is the blend of these three skills that defines the technique of the ski racer. SkillsQuest through the use of its drills separates and refines each skill. Blending these component skills correctly together results in a well-balanced skier. This is the kind of skier that can appear to negotiate the race course effortlessly, and when things do not go according to plan, they can make amazing recoveries and still finish the course with a fast time.

"Balance" as a goal of all ski racers is not found by just skiing alone, but by separating out the component skills and putting them back together where they are again challenged with intensity, duration, and rate. This is not unlike a cake mix. You take the desired ingredients (skills), and put them together with mixing, heat, and time to create a tasty cake.
