Danny Davis was named 2006 Rookie of the Year in the Transworld Riders Poll as well as Snowboarding Magazine. He's won a long list of U.S. Open events, Sprint U.S. Grand Prix and Dew Tour stops. Davis just missed the cut for Torino 2006 and in 2010 he was in the top spot for Olympic qualification when he crashed an ATV and suffered a serious back injury. His recovery was long and emotional, including a broken femur in summer 2012 in New Zealand. Considered the snowboarder's snowboarder, his recent win a Mammoth Mountain Grand Prix proves no one is better suited to represent American snowboardering.

Danny Davis grew up snowboarding on the icy mole hills of Michigan, and once he reached the Tahoe area, his passion for the sport exploded into raw talent. Despite nearly a decade of competition and snowboarding fame, he still remains true to his roots as a part of the Frends Crew, aimed at keeping snowboarding about snowboarding instead of contests and rankings. His mother, Laura Davis, and father moved to Utah to be able to travel to see him compete. When Davis isn't snowboarding, he's working on his house in Truckee.
