Emilia took women’s slopestyle by storm with a Revolution Tour win in late 2011. Her fearless slopestyle tricks, big air and rails earned her invites to Dew Tour Finals and Euro X, all within weeks of her top finishes at the Killington Dew Tour stop, the Aspen/Snowmass Open and the Mammoth Mountain VISA U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix.

She continued her strong skiing throughout the summer. In December 2012, Wint was competing at Dew Tour Breckenridge and landed a jump wrong, suffering a season-ending knee injury. Wint is motivated to get back on top after extensive rehab at the Center of Excellence in Park City, Utah.

Even though my season was cut short, I am really happy with the time I was able to spend on snow. This season was the first time I went to the southern hemisphere to ski, and I ended up having a really fun and successful time down there. Although Dew Tour is where I got hurt, I am really happy with the way I skied. I was having a super good time skiing my home mountain with my friends. I also qualified first and landed the best contest run I’ve ever done, so I think that the event was a success. Right now I am living in Park City, Utah to take advantage of everything the U.S. Ski Team has to offer at the Center of Excellence. My motto right now is “enjoy the fun of failure.” So I’ve started a new adventure, moving to a new place and living on my own. I’m really looking forward to this summer, getting strong and enjoying living in a new place with good friends. Expect big things next year, I’m coming back strong!

When Wint was three, her parents shared a ski pass. Her Dad would take her out in the morning and then give the pass to her Mom so they could ski together in the afternoon. Both Wint and her sister started ski racing at nine, but they weren’t feeling it. She says, “We would drop our poles off the lift on ‘accident’ so that we could ski the fun runs under the chair instead of gates with the team. I joined Hawks Freeride at 13 and have been with them ever since.”

Wint enjoys bouncing and practicing on the trampolines at Woodward at Copper. She also swims and likes to soak in hot tubs. In the summer she enjoys camping, hiking, biking and enjoying summer in the mountains.
