After a solid summer of training, she was ready to rock in 2011, but a fractured ankle sidelined her for the entire competitive season. Her return to racing did not disappoint, as Peterson finished top 25 in the NorAm overall, slalom, giant slalom and super G standings as well as scored a top-25 finish in slalom at the Junior World Championships in 2012. She kept the upward trend rolling through the 2013 season, finishing top 15 in the NorAm overall, slalom, super G and super combined standings. In addition, she landed on the junior slalom podium with a third at the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships held on her home mountain at Squaw Valley. |
