BIOGRAPHY:
A member of the U.S. alpine snowboarding team in 2000, Graham's background was in racing before switching to snowboardcross for the Olympics in 2006. After his experience in Turino, Watanabe wanted another shot at the Games, and the Idaho native proved his worth in making the Olympic team yet again. Watanabe then took things a little lighter in 2011, focusing on getting back to into freeriding and enjoying his time with the roots of the sport. Still, he'll be back in 2012, ready to go as one of the top men in his sport.

GRAHAM SAYS:
After taking time away from competition, intending to log some backcountry time, I found myself with around 30 days on snow, minor injuries, a depleted bank account and refreshed motivation to get back on tour.

FIRST TRACKS:
Lucky for Graham, Mr. Watanabe (VP of Scott Motorsports) fits into the cool dad department. "My dad asked my bro and I to give snowboarding a try and it stuck." A good buddy of his then started to compete and he went along for the ride. Then, like any good addiction, success led to motivation.

OFF THE SNOW:
You can find me mountain biking, Frisbee golfing, regular golfing, rock climbing, and I just enrolled back into classes.
