Nick Baumgartner (Iron River, MI) was fifth during frigid snowboardcross qualifiers at the FIS Snowboard World Championships at Stoneham.
Seth Wescott and Nate Holland combined to win the team SBX at the Paul Mitchell Progression Session in Telluride.
Seth Wescott won the USANA Snowboardcross Cup in Telluride, his first victory in four years.

U.S. Snowboarding’s top snowboardcross athletes, including Seth Wescott, Nate Holland and Lindsey Jacobellis began on-snow preparation for the upcoming World Championship season.

![]() Moving to Florida as a young child didn’t give Hagen Kearney many chances to snowboard. That all changed when a family vacation turned into a family relocation to Telluride, Colorado. New to the World Cup circuit in 2012, Kearney has proven his mettle with impressive Nor-Am finishes, including a whopping eight top-ten finishes in 2012. His World Cup fifth-place finish at Valmalenco, Italy is proof that this versatile cross athlete has lots of podiums to clean up in the years to come. In 2013 Kearney stepped it up, competed in seven World Cup’s and dominated the field, making the finals at nearly all the World Cup’s he entered. He took the SBX team win at the World Cup opener in Montafon, Austria.
