With four NorAm top-10 finishes he was on a steady rise to success after the 2009 season, the culmination of which was his third place at U.S. Championships. In 2010, Discoe continued his World Cup career in style with three top-15 finishes at the end of the season. In 2011, he notched his career high World Cup result with a sixth-place finish along with four other top-15s. He was also back on the U.S Nationals podium with a gold medal in dual moguls.
The 2012 season saw Discoe continue building on his World Cup resume with three top-10 finishes (all seventh place) at the end of the season to tie his career high 15th-place ranking in the World Cup moguls standings.
The most fun I had all year was after the two days of training in Japan, when everyone else was back inside recovering. I went skiing with (U.S. Sk Team coaches) Garth and Herald. We got three to four untracked waste deep powder runs. Best snow I skied all year.
My goal for this season is to keep progressing in the sport. Keep pushing myself to be better and in the end the results will come. I will make World Champs again this year. You don’t change anything year to year. You go out there to win every event and if you are not there to do that then what are you there for?
