BIOGRAPHY:
Matt Ladley, a product of the famed Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, has been a big edition to the U.S. Snowboarding program after tearing up the '07 Rev Tour. It took him only one year with a podium on the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix series to jump to the pro ranks, and now he's landing doubles and bceoming a podium regular. Ladley showed strong skills against a field of the best U.S. riders at the Olympic qualification Grand Prix events, where he had several top-20 finishes, but he really shined during the 2011 season, scoring a podium finish at the Dew Tour and closing out the season with a win at the Grand Prix in Mammoth.

MATT SAYS:
It was definitely a breakthrough season for me this year. I traveled a ton and did a lot of contests but was able to get in some incredible pow trips with friends as well, so I really could not ask for more. I am also really excited to be a part of the U.S. Pro Team this year and look forward to a great season in 2012!

FIRST TRACKS:
Matt learned how to ride from Chris Saponaro, a ski instructor in Telluride, Colorado. He spent the next few years riding in Chicago at Raging Buffalo before moving to Steamboat when he was 11. He started training with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and now rides with U.S. Snowboarding.

OFF THE SNOW:
When I am not on the snow I like to skateboard and wake surf. I stay pretty active doing some biking as well.
