      BIOGRAPHY
At just 18-years old, New Jersey’s Mike Rossi has an impressive résumé of NorAm success. With seven top-ten NorAm results including two podiums under his belt coming into the 2011 season, Rossi found a new gear and captured the 2011 overall title with his first two wins and three more podiums. He proved he can hang with the World Cup crowed by winning a bronze medal at U.S. Nationals.

The 2012 season brought Rossi yet another opportunity to expand on his portfolio.  He started by raking in six NorAm podiums including two wins. He took another step forward by taking the silver medal at the U.S. National Championships.

      MIKE SAYS
The highlight of the season was going to Junior Worlds in Italy. I learned what it was like to jump jetlagged. Nationals was the most fun. Not knowing how the site would hold up and getting second was very fun.

I am looking forward to getting bigger triples qualified on water and then jump them on snow. My only goal, anytime I compete, is to do the best I can to do sweet jumps.

      FIRST TRACKS
Rossi learned to ski when he was four, but never skied that much until he was recruited for aerials. “I tried a water ramp camp in Park City, and ended up being pretty good at the sport,” he says. “I trained that summer for a few days, and the next summer I moved to Park City to continue the sport. I've been on my way ever since.”

      Off THE SNOW
Rossi’s off the snow hobbies include: writing music, recording songs, playing guitar and making jewelry.
