![]() An East Coaster by birth, Tommy Biesemeyer knows what it's like to race on icy conditions. A product of the New York Ski Education Foundation, he started racing at Whiteface, but he quickly moved into to the U.S. Ski Team food chain, making his World Cup debut in 2011. "BZ" punched his World Cup points card in 2012, finishing 30th in the Crans Montana, Switzerland super G. He has stepped it up ever since. He cracked open the 2013 season with super G points in Lake Louise and then stamped a career-best 18th finish at the home of the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Beaver Creek, CO. His performance trend and confidence were on the rise when a post-Christmas crash in Bormio, Italy kept him off snow for a month. But with the 2013 World Championships on the horizon, Biesemeyer opted to stay in Europe to rehab from the crash. The decision paid off and he walked away from World Champs with a 13th finish in super G. FIRST TRACKS OFF THE SNOW |
