BIOGRAPHY
A beach bum at heart, Tucker Perkins took his smooth style to the snow at an early age, quickly earning recognition from Sports Illustrated's NeXT Snow Search at the ripe ol' age of 14. Perkins may have a laid back demeanor, but don't be fooled, he is one of the hardest working skiers in the game. After winning a U.S. Championship halfpipe title, finishing second in the Dew Tour halfpipe and making the X Games final in his 2010 debut, Perkins was determined to up the ante, working with several coaches to improve his strength and technique.

Perkins 2.0 was then unleashed in 2011, a version dialing his double corks and skiing visibly stronger. The New Hampshire native made the finals at the World Championships and finished just off the podium at the VISA U.S. Grand Prix, despite battling injuries for most of the season. Still, Perkins returned to health in time for the final halfpipe event at the AFP World Championships, stomping a silver medal run.

In 2012, he landed a podium at the Dew Tour in Killington, VT and was looking strong until a late season ACL injury spoiled the final months of the year.

TUCKER SAYS
I am very satisfied with how my season went even with an ACL injury in the end. I was consistently in the top five and always in hunt. I was ranked third in the world until my injury and look forward to picking up where I left off this season to keep progressing.

FIRST TRACKS
Perkins grew up skiing at Attitash Bear Peak in New Hampshire with his cousins. He started off racing and moved into moguls skiing. While moguls skiing, Tucker began to sneak off and build jumps in front of his condo, and this is where he first learned to spin and flip. After those sneaky backyard sessions, Tucker knew freeskiing was his calling.

OFF THE SNOW
Perkins is constantly occupied with training and becoming a better skier, and he claims, “It never stops!” An avid surfer since he was six years old, he still squeezes time in for one of his favorite pastimes. Music has always been a big part of his life and he plays the drums and saxophone. He enjoys working on motorcycles and cars and says “My "inner New Hampshire" always comes out when I'm back home.”
