Adore Creative Produces USSA Brand Spots

PARK CITY, UT (April 7, 2016) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) has developed a strategic partnership with top sports advertising agency Adore Creative to produce branding spots for both the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Grand Prix, two of its most notable action sports brands. The USSA utilized its distribution network with NBC to carry the spots in national broadcasts throughout the season, highlighting the organization’s Best in the World vision with a duo of 30-second brand spots.

Adore Creative, an integrated advertising agency and growing leader in sports creative and content production, has created acclaimed content for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, the 2022 Olympic Winter Games bid for Almaty, USA Luge and numerous FIFA World Cup 2018 projects. In January, Adore’s closing ceremony film for the 2015 Los Angeles Special Olympics was featured in Google’s “Year in Search 2015” film. Adore worked with the USSA, a 501c3 nonprofit and the National Governing Body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding, to showcase the team’s Olympic level athletes.

National television coverage on NBC and NBCSN of this winter’s spectacular Polartec Big Air at Fenway in Boston featured newly released creative, showcasing Olympic champions David Wise and Kelly Clark. The spots premiered in January at the opening U.S. Grand Prix from California’s Mammoth Mountain on NBC. A similar spot featuring Olympic champions Ted Ligety and Lindsey Vonn premiered earlier this season in NBC coverage of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup races from Aspen and Beaver Creek in Colorado.

Both spots, filmed by Adore Creative’s Barker Gerard this past November during pre-season training camps at Colorado’s Copper Mountain Resort, have been available online for much of the season, generating great viewership through digital and social channels.

The USSA sought out Adore Creative for the campaign to highlight its athletic vision and create excitement around its brands. The U.S. Ski Team brand is one of the most iconic in skiing worldwide, with broad recognition in the USA, Europe and Asia built over its nearly half-century of use. The USSA’s U.S. Grand Prix brand is celebrating its 20th season as the longest running winter action sports tour in the world and the platform for selection of the U.S. Olympic Team in freeskiing and snowboarding.

Now in its 20th year, the U.S. Grand Prix is the longest running action sports tour in America. The 30-second Grand Prix branding spot debuted on NBC’s coverage of the U.S. Grand Prix from Mammoth Mountain in January. The spots feature Olympic champions David Wise and Kelly Clark.
