PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 30) – Day one of the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix snowboard qualifiers went off without a hitch at Park City Mountain Resort today and included an appearance by two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA). Over 70 athletes competed in two heats.

In a one-sided X Games superpipe, White clinched the win on his first run with a 95.0, upped it to 98.0 on his second then skipped his final run to walk away with an historic six peat to close out the X Games in Aspen. It was his eighth X Games superpipe crown.
