PARK CITY, UT (August 24) - U.S. Ski Team athletes, coaches, friends and fans came out in support of the The Speedy Foundation and Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation at the second annual Hurricane for Hope fundraiser. The event, held in honor of 2010 Olympic silver medalist in aerials Jeret "Speedy" Peterson, raised funds for the two organizations. The large crowd was wowed by a fireworks-filled Flying Ace All-Stars big air show and bid on an array of items in a silent auction.
The second annual Hurricane for Hope event was held August 24 at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City, UT.
The event is held in honor of 2010 Olympic silver medalist in aerials Jeret "Speedy" Peterson.
The event raised funds for The Speedy Foundation and Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation.
Highlights of the event included a fireworks-filled Flying Ace All-Stars show and a silent auction.
Both current and former U.S. Ski Team athletes came out for the event, including Olympic Champion Nikki Stone, two-time Olympic medalist Shannon Bahrke Happe, cross country World Champion Kikkan Randall and two-time Olympian Emily Cook. Speedskating Olympic Champion Derek Parra also attended.
