RUKA, Finland (Dec. 9) - The FIS Freestyle World Cup is ready to go with the moguls opener set for Saturday. Defending World Cup and Olympic champion Hannah Kearney (Norwich, VT) is ready. U.S. Freestyle Ski Team Moguls Coach Garth Hager was pleased with the training over the past week and feels the team is ready and anxious for the opener.
All eyes will be on defending champion Hannah Kearney, who took a leave from Dartmouth College to get back into the starting gate for a full season.
Kearney will lead six U.S. women into Saturday's qualifying rounds.
Seven U.S. men will start.
