White Nails Perfect Gold Superpipe Run

ASPEN, CO (Jan. 29) –  Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA) wowed crowds by nailing the first ever score of 100.0 on his victory-lap run en route to winning his fifth consecutive superpipe gold at the Winter X Games. White, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, had enough points from his first run score of 94.0 to win the competition but took a final run to earn his perfect score.

  • He is the only athlete to win five consecutive golds in superpipe and the third to record that streak in any discipline
