When we work as a team, we can build a game plan to make sport safe ― for everyone. Providing a safe environment to protect the health and well being of athletes is a high priority for the USSA. SafeSport is a valuable partnership between the USSA and the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) with a variety of SafeSport Guidance Resources to help USSA clubs, athletes, coaches, officials and parents.

- Every USSA staff member, plus all coaches, officials and judges undergoes background screening before issuance of membership or employment by the USSA.
- Parents, you can verify the membership of any club coach, judge or official through the USSA Member Lookup tool or by calling USSA Member Service at 435.647.2666 to ensure that the coaches and officials working with your child have undergone background screening.
- Club leaders, the USOC provides online SafeSport training for your coaches, judges and officials.
- USSA has a set of guidelines to help you - as a parent, official, club leader, coach or athlete - understand situations to help you better understand SafeSport environment.
